My ideal photo is not what you think. 

It isn't picture-perfect hair, a windless afternoon, and smiles a dentist would approve of. 

Photos that tell a story,

set the mood,

evoke an emotion.

I'm working to train my eye to spot these vignettes,

and also enjoyed looking through old Italy pictures this week to realize I'd already started to capture both mood and story when there, even several years ago.
