Frozen Legos!

This summer the girls and I have really enjoyed the extra time in our days to try out some projects, experiments, and fun play ideas, including these frozen Legos!

The idea for this is simple: put some Legos in small, plastic containers and then fill with water and freeze!  Afterwards, the blocks of ice easily slip out of the containers, leaving the Legos trapped inside.

I showed this idea to a couple of people who shall remain nameless (lol) and they immediately asked "What do you do with it?" .  My immediate answer was-you play!

This is one of those open-ended, creative play experiences that kids LOVE.  They can easily make up stories about why the Legos are trapped, see how long it takes for the ice to melt, try and break the ice open yourself, or dunk them in a kiddie pool to play.  The ideas are endless!
