a date, and "oh why's"

Betsy Grace is getting used to different things around the house now-like laying on her play mat, the jump-a-roo, and playing on a blanket.  She really likes this light-up lamb and grins so big every time I press it's tummy and it plays music.  And for the record-having two this little means I can't turn my back for a second.  Anna Ruth is so good to "help" Betsy Grace play. :)

Brett and I were blessed to go on an afternoon date (with Betsy Grace) recently.  He took me to the Salvation Army store, which is always a good time.  I found a world map floor puzzle and books for Anna Ruth, and tiny forks from Pottery Barn that say cute things like "Pick happiness" on the end.
We also ate some yummy food and got coffee.  I love getting to continue to enjoy my time with Brett.

It is something that takes a bit more work now that we have the two babies around, but I can confidently say our love is growing and deeper now as we're learning to work through the more challenging moments.  We have fun together :).
Anna Ruth and I were playing dress up in her big girl room one day.  I put this camo hat on, which looked ridiculous in addition to my John Deere "Country Boy" t-shirt.  Anna quickly gave her approval though and let out a loud "Oh, why!", which is her version of "Oh, Wow!"  :)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
