Fastest Mantle Redo. EVER.

The finished mantle! I typed the post below.....changed my mind (what's new?!) and this is the edited version! :) Now I'm satisfied....
Ok, so this isn't my mantle, obviously.  But I finally took down all the Christmas decor (what's that? You thought the "Celebrate" banner was holiday-ish? Nope, we celebrate 365 days a year here!).  I actually swept the porch.......tidied it up a bit.  So of course I had to take a picture.  I love this cozy little spot.  So ready for spring so we can start eating dinner out here again!
THIS is the fastest mantle redo. EVER.  I decorated the mantle for Christmas and had taken all of that decor down already.  I had a few scattered thoughts of what I wanted to put up.  So I just kept piling random bits on the mantle.  It looked quite junky.  Not the cute, trendy junky.  Just junky.  So one day we had a wonder-filled nap time because both girls were asleep at the same time and I was (almost) caught up with chores.  I made the mantle happen.
This is what I came up with.
And back to the porch.  This little spool table has been all over the place at our house.  It's currently outside with an old door tucked behind it.  Random, yet I love this spot too. It's perfect for date nights and deer-watching.

  3. That's such a wonderful little spot to sit outside. I've been trying to come up with something like that for our little back yard. Where did you find the chairs?

    1. Thanks friend! The chairs came from my mom-in-law's barn I believe, and I just spray-painted them red (story of my life). Spray-paint changes so much for so little $. :)

  5. Glad to meet you and that you like the blog :) and I would totally recreate a mantle for you if I could! Maybe if I decorated other people's spaces I could stop thinking of projects for ours-I'm running out of room, lol.
