Dear coneflowers,
How I love how you bloom.
Other flowers have folds of lush petals, all crowding for the attention.
But you with your spiky middle, petals straight down, remind me of a face turned towards Heaven.
It's almost like you're saying "Beam me up!".
You are a determined, drought-resistant flower.
You're rarely bothered by pests.
They say your seeds even attract song-birds.
Perhaps you have a few life lessons to teach us?
Drought-tolerant,
not bothered by pests,
attracts song-birds,
face to Heaven.
You're my favorite,
Sara
Maybe I should get some of those :)
