Easter: family

Thank-you all for your kind comments about our Easter table! It was so much fun to put together!  The biggest reason for our excitement at Easter this year didn't have to do with the pretty decorations though.

It had much more to do with these special, sweet faces.

Meet the cousins of the family!  Between my two sisters and I we have ten wonderful  children and wouldn't have it any other way!  What a blessing these little (and some not so little) ones are.  I have watched each of them grow up right before my eyes.
The grown-ups, plus Betsy, sat at the decorated table…while the kiddos picnicked on the floor in the other room!

It was a lovely meal with tasty food and nice conversation.   What a treat for me to have other adults to talk to! Although I am a little partial to my girls' toddler conversations. :)
This is the real life look at what happens when I try to get a picture of the men...
There, that's a bit better.
And a not so posed, but real life look at our kiddos! My older sister had the smartest idea ever, to have them pose on the stairs before they were allowed to start the Easter egg hunt inside (they'd been hiding upstairs while I hid 90 eggs!).

The day was filled with kids everywhere, lots of laughter, delicious food, and conversation galore.  I enjoyed this day so, so, so much.

At the end of the day we were tired, but the good, good tired.  The kind that means you go to bed with a smile on your face because your soul has been alive that day.

A happy Easter, indeed.

    1. Thank-you Barbara! The size of the family definitely doesn't determine the amount of love and happiness :)
