Thank-you for your wise advice to take it year by year…and for the reminder that we know the best choice for our own children! I...I identified with your comment on school choice. I was home schooled and private schooled. My daughter spent K and 1st in public and is now home schooled with a weekly co-op. I have received criticism on both choices. My mantra is this. It doesn't matter what your choice is, as long as it is an informed choice. If you weigh all the options and decided to public school, then that is the best choice for your family that year. If you weigh all the factors, and choose home school or private school, then that is the best decision for your family that year. Take it year by year. Every year changes. We home school now but finances, work scenarios, family needs can change like lightening and we could be sending her to public school next year. Who knows? Only God does. Just pray, make an informed decision and then be confident in that decision. You are the parents and you will make the best choice for your child. No educational format is perfect.
Good luck! All our children have attended private christian school and college. My husband is currently a fifth grade teacher in a private christian school. I can assure you, NO MATTER what you choose, people will criticize! Do what God leads you to do for YOUR family, realizing other people will be led differently, and forget about the rest!! My main issue with all the schooling choices we have these days is the people who feel THEIR choice should be EVERYONE'S choice. Your family will be blessed and a blessing in whatever schooling option you choose. Go confidently knowing you are just where GOD wants you!
Jennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5302514278533008934.post-78412839828693749482015-01-31T03:00:41.682-08:002015-01-31T03:00:41.682-08:00I currently work (as a big God surprise to me) in ...I currently work (as a big God surprise to me) in a private school, but am a big fan of public schools! I actually jotted down a similar idea last week but haven't put pen to paper to sketch anything yet. You've given me the inspiration to do so! :) So I want to know-what would be on your bucket list?! I thought of a question related to your Etsy art: have you thought about doing a bucket list for each season? I love the Fall/Autumn one I purchased, and would love to have one for spring, summer, and winter too! Just something to think about. Thanks for showing up here and sharing your rosy world with us!BethandCohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08937713664729356736noreply@blogger.com
